Project Summary
The project is located high above the Aldgate valley with far reaching vistas over the Mt Lofty ranges. We were consulted by the clients directly to interrogate the best outcome for the site. In turn we introduced the architect to the project team.
The brief from the client was an Adelaide Hills contemporary barn – a style of home unique to the region, and indeed, the Adelaide Hills.
Challenged by the contours, we were able to nestle the house into what we believe was the ultimate layout and location, sympathetic to the natural overland stormwater drainage. A key detail only truly understood by a local.
